Fourth Triennial Scientific Meeting
The IFFAS Triennial Meeting scheduled for September 21-23, 2011 in Nara, Japan was not held due to the series of major disasters that struck the country of Japan earlier in the year. The leadership of the IFFAS Asian Federation made the difficult decision to cancel the meeting. The destructive earthquake, massive tsunami, and the nuclear radiation problems that followed created difficult circumstances for travel and meetings in Japan.
The Japanese host organizing committee of the IFFAS meeting planned an excellent scientific program and accompanying social events and had been looking forward to hosting orthopaedic foot and ankle colleagues from around the world in Nara. A large number of excellent abstracts were submitted for the meeting and were judged by faculty members. The organizing committee created a CD of the final program that was distributed to all registrants.
The Japanese Society for Surgery of the Foot and its members appreciated the many expressions of support received from colleagues around the world and looks forward to seeing colleagues at other foot and ankle meetings and at the 2014 Triennial IFFAS meeting in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Third Triennial Scientific Meeting Costa do Sauipe, Brazil

The Third Triennial Scientific Meeting of the International Federation of Foot & Ankle Societies (IFFAS) was held September 18-20, 2008 in Costa do Sauipe, Bahia, Brazil.
The meeting was under the auspices of the Latin American Federation of Leg and Foot Surgery and the Brazilian Foot & Ankle Society.

organization devoted to the foot and ankle, held its second
scientific meeting September 15-18, 2005 in Naples, Italy. The
scientific program featured morning symposia, followed by afternoon
lectures and presentations of scientific papers.
