Naples, stretched along the Bay of Naples at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, provided a scenic background for the meeting. This enchanting Italian city has a rich history and has been a major seaport since it was founded in 500 BC.

The meeting was attended by more than 650 registrants. Visitors enjoyed a full scientific meeting, wonderful hospitality and warm weather in Naples as they visited this center of medieval and renaissance architecture. The congress venue was the Royal Continental Hotel.
