PROXIES

One proxy was received by Paul Hubert Benamoup.
 The meeting was called to order by President Sandro Giannini at 12 p.m.
 The minutes of the preceding meeting held during the IFFAS Triennial Meeting in Naples on September 16, 2005 were presented. After appropriate review, it was moved and seconded that the minutes be accepted, and the council voted unanimously to accept the minutes.

AWARDS

Prof. Giannini proposed to call the previous "Takakura Award" with the name of the previous past president, hence "Coughlin Award" and the Presidents Award with the name of the current President's name, hence "Giannini Award."

TREASURER'S REPORT

Prof. Giannini reported that at the time of the Naples Meeting, the account had a positive balance of $23,580.88 and the dues for 2005-2006 were paid by NA, SA, and Europe. Information regarding payment of the 2005-2006 dues by the Asian federation is yet to be confirmed.  It was decided that the new IFFAS Secretariat originally run by Cantrall and Associates would pass to Lousanne (Zan) Lofgren for $6,000 per year.

IFFAS WEB SITE

The IFFAS Executive Director Lousanne (Zan) Lofgren is responsible for the IFFAS web site and has informed me that the transitional and organizational aspects of AOFAS from Seattle to Chicago have taken significant time. Now that the AOFAS web site has been finalized, she promised to begin to update the IFFAS web site. In light of this, an email was originally sent to the Presidents of the Federations/National Societies back in November 2005 and because I had very little feedback, another was sent in March 2006. Prof. Giannini expressed that the IFFAS web site still requires new information and that it should include:

*  The Council of the IFFAS Society
*  The Statute
*  Council of the various national federations with links to each
*  A calendar of organized courses/congresses, by Federations/National Societies and IFFAS, administrative information regarding arrangements for council meetings, and memos regarding membership dues and scholarships. Each Federation must gather all information regarding confirmed events and its Board members pertaining to the Federation.

The IFFAS Secretariat is unaware of any scheduled meeting on an international level, therefore it is the responsibility of each National Society/Federation to email any local and national meetings, instructional courses, and continental meetings that are scheduled over the next few years.

2008 TRIENNIAL MEETING

The Third Triennial meeting will take place on September 18-20, 2008 in Bahia, Brazil. The chairman of the Meeting is Osny Salomao and the co-chairmen are Caio Nery, Tulio D. Fernandez, and Egydio de Carvalho. All information can be found in the website at the following address: www.iffas2008.com.br.
